My book name, Debt Free Dreams came to me as I began to realize how our dreams can become a great catalyst to bring about our reality.
As long as I can remember, I always wanted to go to Tahiti. How does a six-year-old know about Tahiti? We lived in Hawaii at the time and the doctor’s daughter, who lived next door to us, went to Tahiti every summer.
The realization of living a debt free life came many years later for me. Like so many of us, for most of my adult life I carried debt. The thought that it was possible to live debt free never crossed my mind until the day I was walking through our local Target store and saw a book by Dave Ramsey titled, “Financial Peace”. I picked it up, read it cover to cover and changed the way I was living from having debt to living a debt free life.
The catalyst for me was realizing the power of dreams to help me stay on track. It was knowing the power of living with purpose and choosing the life I really want to live. We have lived a debt free life for several years now and I can’t imagine living with debt anymore. The freedom and peace that comes with living debt free is beyond what I could have imagined.
